A large part of the team is centralized in Chennai as a preference but we’re open anywhere in India. We're remote first so you can work from home, the beach or your favorite coffee shop. All that matters is that you have a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
As a Director of Engineering, you will:
Develop a bold vision and strategy for our customer-facing reg-tech products and lead your team to deliver an exceptional experience.
Stay hands-on. We need technical leaders, not PowerPoint jockeys.
Anticipate how technologies will impact our business and craft plans to leverage them to deliver more value to customers before our competitors do.
Attract, coach and retain top talent by fostering an environment of trust, autonomy and growth.
Work cross-functionally to ensure tight collaboration between product, design and engineering.
Shape our engineering culture and uphold our high engineering standards.
Identify and evaluate fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for multiple functional areas.
Leads activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups and services through subordinate directors / managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of assigned areas.
We’re looking for someone who has:
10+ years of professional frontend and backend software engineering experience and 5+ years of people management experience, including experience leading managers.
Expertise in Java/Scala and experience building key customer-facing interfaces.
A proven track record of leading high performing engineering teams and achieving remarkable results.
A passion for building products that achieve customer and business outcomes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills. You must be able to influence and align people around a shared vision.
