About the Role

We empower our Product teams to solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. Our product teams are cross-functional and durable, where Product and Engineering all come together as peers in pursuit of better business and customer outcomes.

Our Product Managers are accountable for ensuring our products and related solutions delivered are both valuable and viable. That means that in addition to deeply understanding our business, our Product Managers must also contribute a strong understanding of our users, mainly software developers and enterprise IT admins; how they work and how they interact with our products.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for helping to embed Inspired Product Thinking throughout the organization, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data, and a deep knowledge of our customer needs, business objectives, and larger market/industry to actively drive forward meaningful and differentiating improvements to our product experience.

Our primary customers are other software companies, typically referred to as Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Working to successfully enable our customers allows you to build relationships with some of today’s most exciting software companies in fields like AI/ML, BigData, CI/CD, Security, and more.

This Senior Product Manager role will work with our Vendor Experience team, managing the primary SaaS interface (Vendor Portal UI/APIs/CLIs) that our customers (Vendors) use to access many of the Replicated platform capabilities. In this role, you’ll drive the strategy for investments that help us achieve our larger product vision, directly impacting one of our most critical and growing areas of the platform, one which every customer interacts with on a regular basis.

In addition to primary ownership of the Vendor-facing SaaS platform capabilities, this team is currently focused on two key strategic problem areas:

• Enhance Replicated’s Observability & Insights capabilities - Drive growth in the customer and business value of Replicated’s observability and insights capabilities, enabling vendors to be more successful installing, managing, and supporting customer-managed applications, while also making it easier to demonstrate the value that Vendors receive by choosing Replicated. We currently help Vendors better understand the real-world performance and quality of their distributed software via actionable insights and reporting on adoption rate, uptime, time-to-install, and more. Existing functionality has been well received, and we want to continue to drive expansion in the types of high-value insights the Replicated platform can provide.

• Optimize Vendor Portal Vendor critical workflows - As one of the primary touch points for the Replicated Platform, Vendor Portal enables several customer critical workflows. This team will identify these most critical workflows within your product surface responsibility area, and drive usability and efficiency improvements that help Vendors succeed through these workflows more quickly and with less guidance required.

Product Manager Vision for Success:

• You demonstrate a strong Inspired Product thinking mindset and show ownership in driving meaningful and differentiating improvements to both our product user experience and our larger Product/Engineering organization and processes.

• From both hands-on product experience and speaking to our customers, field and support teams, as well as digging deep into available user data, you deeply learn the current product experience as well as our customers, their personas and jobs-to-be-done, allowing you to assume ownership for further evolving and executing the product strategy for your problem space domain within the context of our larger product and business goals, ensuring our products best meet the needs of our customers and the larger Replicated business.

• You demonstrate the ability to work with your team leadership peers to successfully balance various product/engineering execution needs, ensuring we continually make progress against strategic goals, while balancing the considerations of customer requests and product/technical debt. You drive team team conversations around the evaluation of time-cost vs benefit assessment for a given action, feature, or prioritization decision, ensuring development costs don't exceed the expected value benefit.

• In collaboration with the larger Product Management org, you help to drive more maturity into our customer interviews/feedback and prototype customer validation process, helping us continue to improve our ability to quickly feed key customer insights and learnings back to the teams and the larger company.

The Value You Bring to the Role:

• 3+ years of relevant Product Management experience working on developer enablement products or enterprise enabling Cloud or Dev/Ops products (very important)

• Passion for, and experience in, products that help improve the lives of developers and/or infrastructure operators, and the curiosity to dig deep and learn more about this ecosystem

• Great product instincts

• Proven history of Tenacity & making an impact

• Track record of strong customer engagement, bringing these insights back into the team to determine the best and simplest solution

• Track record of defining and leveraging customer data to inform strategic goals and execution success assessments

• Technical background, or prior demonstrated ability to lead product-engineering teams working on highly technical product offerings

• Experience working in lean-startup and Inspired types of product methodologies (short 1w product iteration cycles; rapid value validation via customer input, prototype experimentation, and fast iterative product releases)

• Experience with customer jobs-to-be-done workflow assessments to identify opportunities for optimizations and innovative product enhancements

Bonus Points:

• 5+ years of overall Product Management experience

• Industry experience with Kubernetes or containerization technologies, cloud platforms, enterprise software delivery, on-premise delivery models

• Experience with observability use cases and tooling

• Experience driving improvements in the product onboarding part of the customer journey

In the US, the salary range for this role is as follows:

Senior Product Manager: $180-$225K

This is dependent on several factors, including level, qualifications, and experience.
