Role Overview
As an Account Executive, you will drive growth by selling high-value research services and SaaS solutions to hedge funds. You will be part of our team spearheading our new NewtonX Prime subscription research offering. You will focus on identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet clients’ market intelligence and data needs. You will consult with hedge fund and PE analysts and portfolio managers to understand their initiatives and how NewtonX can enable them to make more informed decisions to work smarter and achieve quantifiable business impact.
The Account Executive position is an exceptional opportunity for someone entrepreneurial and eager to be part of a growing company that is disrupting the traditional B2B market research model, helping NewtonX introduce new products and services and drive growth in a largely untapped market segment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution:
Be responsible for achieving sales quota and defined performance indicators
Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to closing deals with hedge funds and investor clients.
Develop and implement strategic plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell SaaS and research solutions.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers (Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts, CIOs, etc.).
Understand hedge fund clients’ investment strategies and operational challenges to position solutions effectively.
Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Product Expertise & Value Proposition:
Clearly articulate the value of SaaS offerings and bespoke research services in supporting data-driven investment decisions.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and client needs within the hedge fund sector.

Pipeline Development:
Proactively research, identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, and referrals to investor clients.
Execute prospecting sequences via email, cold-calling, and social outreach to generate leads.
Oversee and manage partnerships with BDRs on prospecting strategy and execution.
Contribute to NewtonX’s social media presence
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting using CRM tools.

Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams (Client Delivery, Strategic Insights, Product, Customer Success) to customize solutions and ensure successful implementation.
Gather client feedback to influence product development and service improvements.

Performance & Reporting:
Monitor and report on sales metrics (revenue, deal progression, pipeline health).
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Qualifications

Experience:
3-5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling SaaS and research solutions to hedge funds, asset managers, or similar buy-side clients.
Proven track record of closing high-value deals with complex sales cycles.

Skills:
Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment workflows, and hedge fund business models.
Executive Presence, Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), sales automation platforms, and data analytics tools.

Results-driven, with a proactive and consultative sales approach.
A rigorous sales process, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Natural curiosity and a desire to learn and be coached.

What we offer
Competitive compensation - base salary range $100K-$120K, uncapped commissions and employee equity plan. Please note that salary and compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, performance, and location
