What the day will look like:

The Senior Insurance Operations Manager will be part of our Insurance Operations team and report to the Head of Insurance Operations. This team is responsible for leading service delivery and operations interactions with our market partners. The team also serves as a vital partner in providing our Broking, Operations, Product, Sales, Account Management, and Accounting Operations teams with deep insurance knowledge and expertise for the Small Commercial sector.

The salary range for this position is $84,000 to $125,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the geographic location.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of our market partner service delivery and operations specification standards.
  • Support the delivery of benchmark reporting with our market partners, which will include the reporting of their scorecards.
  • Join market partner discussions to help drive service delivery performance optimization and ensure alignment with operational processes and workflows.
  • Support onboarding of market partners as advised.
  • Lead identified projects to improve service delivery efficiencies and workflows.
  • Partner with our Broking, Sales, and Account Management teams to help resolve any raised issues that require market partner engagement and support.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams on the implementation of carrier partner integrations, agency/product management systems implementations and carrier partner data and documentation feeds.
  • Work closely with the Compliance & Risk teams to identify areas of improvement relating to risk management
  • Act as a liaison between agency and carrier partners to promote strong communication and problem solving as situations arise.
  • Cultivate knowledge sharing among colleagues to address issues surrounding workflow, markets, products, industry issues, and standard methodologies.
  • Assist with interactions related to third-party premium financing partners.
  • Troubleshoot existing integrations to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and insurance regulations.
  • Build ad hoc reports and analyses as requested.
  • Stay up to date with the industry's standard methodologies and service delivery operating models. 

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

 

Education:

 

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of degree, equivalent education, training, and work-related experience
  • Validated 3-5 years experience in the insurance industry
  • Active P&C Producer license (required) 

 

Technical:

 

  • Proficient in MS Office & Google  suite of products
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with carrier rating/policy management platforms

Professional: 

 

  • Knowledge of the US regulatory landscape including requirements for distributing insurance products and standard methodologies for the small commercial sector
  • Understanding of insurance underwriting and pricing principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solver with excellent analytical skills.
  • Willingness to take ownership of initiatives and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.
