About this Role
Our Marketing team is a core part of our growth engine at Boundless, responsible for the immigration content that has made our website the most popular site in the industry as well as for driving and nurturing leads for our Consumer segment and for demand generation and sales enablement for our B2B business. Our small but mighty team manages our brand, our content, our community, paid marketing, SEO/organic marketing, product marketing, events, many partnerships, and beyond. Now we’re taking the next step, expanding from the leading U.S. Family-based B2C immigration brand to the leading global migration brand, full-stop.
Our Vice President and leader of this team is a new role that will be responsible for shaping and executing our marketing strategy across both B2B and B2C segments to drive growth and to help us become the first widely known brand in the immigration industry. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be a vital partner to our existing Marketing leaders as well as to our cross-functional leadership team.
About You
You are a marketing executive that operates like a founder. You have led growth from $20M to $100M of revenues as the marketing leader or “co-pilot,” so you’ve seen what great looks like but also have learned from a lot of mistakes along the way. You have been able to systematically launch products and win market share in multiple countries around the world, with local teams on the ground as appropriate. While you may not be an expert at every arrow in Marketing’s quiver, you know what exceptional looks like and have a proven ability to build and lead teams to achieve it. You have a talent for articulating strategy and for thinking on behalf of the entire company—how Marketing best integrates with and amplifies the work of our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Operations teams to achieve our ultimate goal.
Successful candidates will have global experience across both B2B and B2C marketing, with expertise in demand generation, partnerships, sales team acceleration, and community-building (a muscle we are building after acquiring employment-based immigration service provider Bridge in August 2023). They will have successfully launched products in multiple countries and have intentionally achieved significant market-share in multiple segments or markets. For each strategy they will be able to articulate clearly what they tried, what they thought would happen, what actually happened, and how they adapted and evolved. They will be constantly experimenting with new AI tools and looking around the corner for how to become a leader in a world of AI-driven search and online experiences. Experience selling into the HR function is a plus.
What You’ll Do
- Set the vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives 100% YOY growth across both B2B and B2C channels. Lead product marketing and positioning across different segments, service levels, and geographies.
- B2C: Organic, Paid, Social, Community, and in-person experiences. We win by achieving density and word-of-mouth in each country and community—develop the strategy to systematically win geography by geography.
- B2B: Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive demand generation and sales enablement strategy, with a focus on driving new customer acquisition.
- Build the team: Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, designing the organization structure, hiring the right talent, and developing the team.
- Deliver results: Utilize data to analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and customer insights to continually improve the effectiveness of marketing programs, and influence Product roadmap and positioning. We don’t believe in a holistic marketing budget—we believe in experiment budgets and are willing to maximize spend into any profitable channels.
- Manifest delight: Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to align our cross-functional efforts to drive growth and to deliver an exceptional end-to-end customer journey. Continually nurture and engage customers and prospects to build a robust referral and retention program.
- Become the brand: Make Boundless synonymous with immigration. Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and identity across all marketing channels. Continue to elevate Boundless across traditional media, online communities and forums, and immigrant communities as the first and default brand in the industry. Create an engine for putting customer stories, successes, and how Boundless changed their lives into the world.
